What are the different types of wall finishes, you ask? We’ve got the answers, right here.
Venetian Plaster Finish

We had to start with our favorite, Venetian Plaster. This finish is a transformative medium that helps you create a unique aesthetic in any room. With its luxurious finish and rich surface, it has the power to uplift the aesthetics of your interior like no other. Truly timeless.
Mirror Wall

One of the most trendy wall finishes is the mirror wall. This material is offered in either a synthetic form or a natural mix. Though we favor the natural option, artificial ones can achieve the same look at a lower price.
Metallic Paint Finish

A metallic paint finish infuses the color or clear coat with glitter; it looks absolutely stunning, and we love it 💛 Different companies use varying thicknesses of glitter, and the possibilities are infinite with colors, clearcoats, and glitters that can be multi-layered. When painting your home, our Paint Coverage Calculator can help you calculate how much paint you need, so you can make a more confident decision while purchasing. Plus, it means lesser wastage. All you have to do is enter your room dimensions and enter your finish type (paint or wallpaper).
Cement Plaster

The most elegant finish of all. It creates a minimal look, with the variety of styles & textures it offers. The types of cement plaster finishes typically include roughcast, cast, sand-faced, and scraped finishes.
Limewash Wall

Limewash was the first paint ever made, and we can clearly see why it continues to be used today. It delivers a timeless, elegant aesthetic that dates back to hieroglyphics.Â
The ability of limewash to create a soft, weathered look (one that improves over time) makes it a finish that can last indefinitely (as long as the surface is sound), making it an excellent choice for those seeking an affordable option.
Tip- Limewash should only be applied over lime plaster or cementitious surfaces.
Decorative Concrete

Another one of the popular favorites. Decorative concrete has transformed both commercial and residential spaces. This natural wall surface is achieved by mixing microcement with a polymer, then trowelling it onto the surface.
Many finishes, from polish to consistency, are possible. It is one of the most durable hand-applied wall coatings, and can be tinted black, white, or any color in between. If sealed, it is also ideal for high-humidity areas, such as bathrooms.
Striped Wall

A stunning design statement that can upgrade the look of any space. Striped walls are achieved by applying a base coat to the wall, then using painter’s tape before applying the final coat, and finally pulling the tape off the surface. The pattern you want to create depends entirely on personal preference.
Board and Batten

Board-and-batten walls are a classic architectural treatment that brings subtle character to otherwise plain walls. The finish features alternating wooden panels (boards) and narrow strips (battens), exuding a rustic yet refined charm. A simple way to design a catchy focal point with different styles, including…
- Grid-style
- Slim modern battens
- Traditional farmhouse
- Picture-frame style
- Half-wall (wainscoting)
- Vertical/horizontal
Wallpaper

A classic choice that never really left, and yes, we still love it. Wallpaper has come a long way from the overly busy prints of the past. Today’s designs are more refined + versatile. Soft grasscloths, linen-look textures, bold geometrics, florals, or murals, wallpaper lets you set the mood instantly.
Another reason wallpaper remains a favorite is flexibility. It works just as well in living rooms and bedrooms as it does in powder rooms, hallways, and home offices. And with modern peel-and-stick options now widely available, updating your walls no longer has to feel permanent or intimidating.
You can choose the wallpaper finish option on our Paint Coverage Tool and figure out how many rolls you will need before starting the project.
Lacquer Wall

Around here, we’re suckers for anything with a high shine, and Lacquer Walls will give you that + so much more 😉 It’s known for its glossy finish, and to make it even more enticing, the material is incredibly easy to clean and maintain (excellent option for high-traffic rooms).
Tip- Lacquer walls are one of the most labor-intensive finishes, and because the process is toxic and creates heavy dust, proper surface prep, site setup, and personal protection are essential.
Wall Stenciling

Another finish with limitless potential. Various types of stencils, from bold designs to intricate patterns, are available, so you can easily personalize your walls to your unique preferences.
This pattern often mimics wallpaper, and is the most affordable of the two.
Stucco Texture Finish

The Stucco Finish stands out as a durable solution for elevating the aesthetics of any space.Â
Long-lasting & resilient, Stucco offers timeless appeal + serves as a practical choice for homeowners seeking longevity in their wall treatments.
The finish comes in two varieties: natural and synthetic. Natural is often custom-mixed for the application. The synthetic option, in most cases, comes with a purpose. Natural tends to age a lot better than synthetic; in short, synthetic dries to plastic.
Tile Wall

If you’re looking for a wall finish that’s stylish (but incredibly practical), tile walls deserve a serious look. No longer limited to kitchens and bathrooms, tile has stepped into living rooms, entryways, and even bedrooms as a bold design feature.
Tile is super durable, but function aside, tile also brings texture in a way paint simply can’t. Whatever you opt for, glossy or matte, tile walls are sure to make a lasting design statement.
Brick Accent Wall

There’s something effortlessly cool about a brick accent wall, exactly why it continues to be a favorite. Brick adds instant character and a lived-in feel, without trying too hard. Not to forget its incredible versatility; install it in an industrial interior, or spruce up your modern-minimalist home- works wonderfully in both.
Beyond aesthetics, brick is durable and low-maintenance, so it’s a smart long-term choice. And if raw brick feels too bold, finishes like limewashing or painting can soften the look while still preserving that rich texture.
Plywood Wall

Homeowners who love warm, neutral finishes with a modern edge, hear us out. Plywood walls might just be your new favorite design move. Once seen purely as a construction material, plywood has stepped into the design spotlight, thanks to its raw beauty and great styling potential.
Stone Accent Wall

A stone accent wall deserves your attention just as much as the rest. Stone brings a sense of permanence and character that few finishes can match. It works beautifully behind a fireplace, along a stairwell, or as a feature wall in living and dining areas.
3D Wall Panels

3D wall panels let you keep a neutral palette (often white or soft beige) while adding visual interest through texture alone. Subtle, but never boring. Available in geometric patterns, waves, flutes, and organic forms, 3D panels can completely change how a wall feels without relying on color or print.
